a domain is just as a mobile number. for data u need also hosting as we need Memory Card in Mobile for data storing.
so u can use ur domain on your free hosting account.
or buy a hosting account.

not sure but something abt 2gb data space

which host you are using

must purchase domain
then park domain to that hosting account
then set dns of your hosting account to that domain dns setting
