DMCA/EUCD is a good idea. Intellectual property rights should be in place protecting theft of hard work.

Look around, ALMOST every other bloke here has a site with copyright-violating content! Besides DMCA is a money gobbler, soon they will get greedy and shut down their crappy service which looks after only the fat cats.

its gonna happen if you like it or not and no matter how much you rant and rave about it there is nothing you can do about it so you might as well be with it to protect your own property.
but then again if your site is full of stolen property i guess you are going to worry..... How ever linking into stolen property on other peoples sites isnt a crime ;)

My opinion on this is who cares.... That's my simple view on it not gonna go into detail with the what's and whys as end of the day it all comes down to money and greed in a nutshell

Here is example OF HOW DMCA WILL NOT WORK FOR YOU IF ITS NOT BENEFIT FOR IT.

In past years one of my friends owned hosting in US, he was paying for it and was Having HIGH-TRAFFIC SITE ALONG WITH DOMAIN.
Hosting/registrar in same face TOOK HIS SITE AND LEAVED HIM WITH NOTHING.
He was not living in US , SO HIS CHANCES TO GET ANYTHING FROM HOSTING ISP OR OTHERS - SAME LIKE YOUR CHANCE PISS ON THE MOON.
Join the battle against DMCA - BAN THEM,BOYCOTT THEM,REPORT THEIR SUPPORTERS.
AND MAKE THEM CRY!

You probably NOTED THAT IN 2009/BEGAN 2010 MANY GOOD WEBMASTER/HACKING/SECURITY AND JUST GOOD SITES WERE SHUTDOWNED.
ITS ALL COZ OF FEDS AND NERDS.PISS THEM OFF!
ITS SAME IF YOU GET JAILED FOR THAT YOU FOUND SOMEONE MONEY ON THE ROAD.
ITS ABSURD.
In modern world knowledge is power - KNOW WATCHDOGS IN FACE, IN OUR CASE BY IP adresses.

Also note that 38.0.0.0-38.255.255.255 range belonging to PSINET (Government controlled firm).They probably too working with dmca and feds.
By the way Katz admins ARE FROM PSINET TOO.

Dude, I'm not in favour of dmca but what's with all the caps? Geez.
And why pirate? If you won't buy, don't. Php is free. Cook yourself a few scripts and you're good to gim at least that's what I did.

Sure its my list main PURPOSE for to admins to ban those ips.

amylee i don't have any of your scripts.
To protect your site use domain lock protectors.
Also in US nice hostings are in New Jersey and California.
Beside care that your script don't contain "nulled by" words in it.
If needed add GNU GPL license strings to your files - THAT ITS FREE BLA BLA BLA.
And upload samle of GNU GPL agreement.
