Admob's request & impressions?

i new in admob.
and i have a site with 30,000+ hits yesterday.
and in my admob account.
im getting 127,000+ request and impressions. .
What is the meaning of that?
what is request and impressions?
i only have 2 admob ads per page!

request is a curl/fsockopen request which is sent from your script to fetch an ad from admobs server,
impression is the ad impression on your site.

2 admob ads means 2 requests for a single hit on the page.
