tracking adnroid and iphone downloads

id like to track android and iphone downloads,
any ideas how to do it?

either use force file transfer:

or a pre-download page that refreshes to download...
and then just log if user agent is android/iphone

on iphone you can download apps only from app store,
but how can i check that the app is installed on the device?
how do the cpa ad networks track downloads and installs?

u can send device id to ur server

hmm, probably the callback to the server has to be integrated into the app,
so the app developers have to create a special edition of their apps for CPI ad-networks?
