okay, your advices are really interesting BUT i think the site's usability is one of the importantest things which site-owner must do.
if you need example, i tell you that now i am developing site. my friend tells me: "dude, why do you do it so long?", and i tell him "if you want to do something do it like for yourself".
P. S.: i noticed that the ad block i told about disapperead...
when that ads cover the login form..i just simple click the forums and it shows n0w the login form in the center..n0t in the upper...but n0t all of user do that same thing we do..
softwarefreak basically hit the nail right on the head.
i too have this problem when logging in each time.
i have to set my browser window to maximum for me to be able to use the login form
as if i have it around 70% width across my screen then the form is hidden by the ad.
this happens for me on all types of browser. ie8, opera, firefox etc,
its just a matter of modding the css for the ad a little to not have such a big margin.
or even put a margin at the top instead so it drops the ad just below the login form.
besides the ad only shows up when users are not logged in.
so for the ad to appear over the login form probably hurts the traffic to here in some way anyhow
i wonder how many ppl actually give up trying to use the form and just continue on to other sites.
it's not problem @coding-talk.com, problem on your side...
most likely you got problems only in mozilla firefox,
it usually happens when you upgrade your browser,
installing newer version over older...
you should actually backup settings, bookmarks, etc
then uninstall older version first,
restart PC
installl new version
also cleaning registry in between might help...
To be honest, It's a problem for every1 who's using a netbook or a device with the same or less resolution, the reason for this is the CSS!
the ad div positioned absolutely, with a fixed margin on the left, so lesser the screen width more the div covers the login form, try to decrease the width of your browser window, you'll see the same
ive never had any issues using firefox on laptop and on my galaxy s2 seems to work just fine.
you should also post the type of browser or device you log in with so gum can look at other means for those devices
. just a sugestion from a technical point of view removing the add will decrease his revnue to keep this site running.
he may even consider placing the ad code in another part of the sites theme
i also use the mobile phone version with no problems at all.
i only suggested to change place of this ad block ;)
Added after 8 minutes:
okay, i learn that problem occurred due to my low relosultion on the netbook and all works good on my desktop.
but i think that you have to care about users. if you move ad block a few below it will be better.
Well, advertisment is useful thing but all must have their own place.
I think that ad block which is situated near login form is very very very uncomfortable. I took screenshot and you can see that form for inputting the Username is 90% hid by it!
I find it very confusing and think you should move this block below.
Thanks.
