Want to learn PHP From the scratch(need help)

I just registered in this site yesterday when i discovered it from google.Kudos to the administration of this forum because they are doing a great job in here.I am a newbie when it comes to PHP although i am very sound when it comes to html,pls i dont know where to start.You can post useful hints here.I will pay back with friendship.thanks
