    the power

I neve realised how powerful my phone was... (Sony Ericsson S312)

Really crap(ish) by sony standards, given me more kak than any of my previous sony's and is actually manufactured by sagem... (Search google for why you can't download themes on SE312)

But, as I recently discovered, despite lacking qwerty keyboard, etc... It's a machine for a wapmaster... (You just gotta keep files under 2kb to be able to edit them...)

Anyways to cut a long story short, the othe night I ended up at a mates place with no net access bored outta my mind and decided to try build a site on my phone (mini cms if you will)

Having done that successfully from mobile now, (thanks to Opera Mini & net2ftp.com) I'm wondering if anyone else on coding-talk ever tried anything along the same lines? I just did it to see what I could pull off from my phone... (Copy paste helped greatly though... one thing this sagem kak doesn't do outside opera mini, unlike my other sony phones)...

Anyone who wants to see what I done so far:

    PlaySpace

Anyone else ever tried a mobile coding challenge?

I'm using sony ericsson k510i for coding.. Using opera, wExplorer, juventuuZip and wapftp.mobi. http://wapftp.mobi is better than net2ftp.... Thanks..

lol, well, i used to use w-explorer, now i use opera mini n net2ftp, you can view source in opera mini... copy n paste, ie: header n footer from wherever... n i coded loads of files, like menu.php that's just the links for menu, etc... flat database system... so no need for stuff like mysql... i use opera to login to my cpanel to add addon domains, etc... i guess i can actually do pretty much everything... only limitation is that the text area on my mobile only handles x number of characters after which the phone crashes, lol... i had to finish one file on my pc cause i couldn't add the final four characters on my phone...

but yeah, net2ftp i can do everything i can on wapftp n more, like coding in php i'll post the script from beetah up in scripts n you'll see how i did it... just takes a hell of a lot of inserting special characters...

My phone also fill only x no. of characters. But I solved the problem using wapftp and wExplorer. To edit php files in wexplorer, just rename yourfile.php to yourfile.txt . Everything can be done without pc.. Thanks

From the age of 14 itself, I'm using my mobile phone to do these things and not yet felt any uncomfertability. I think, it's better than Pc..

Being honest here, I cannot develop using just only a phone. If you peepz really code and deploy a webpage via mobile then kudos to you all. Great stuff.
