Dedicated server will be need if ur site has more then 100 ppl on it it will use more cpu if on share hosting.

if ur a intel lover u can pick a intel duo 2
if ur a amd lover u can pick a amd Phenom

u will mite need 2 or more gigs of ram so it can run more files i use 8 gig on a server mysql.php.asp.html.phpmyadmin didnt not slow down of ram...

most cpu using is ppl truning pages adding to mysql and going thou http

ya dedicated server is the best option for heavy sites with lot of sql queris and u can go for VPS also

vps server not bad thou can have same errors as share hosting....

vps is a base of sharing a server its cut in two or four place's for ur vps.
