    awesome tutorial.

    not sure id want my computer running 24/7 though so ppl could be able to see my site always.
    or is it just the network that needs to be on?

    another question i noticed it said about no-ip.com. and a sub domain name.
    but what if you wanted something even nicer like a .uk.to domain name.
    is that possible? and how would one actually do it.

    now i know your not the guy in the video.
    these are just general questions im throwing out there for anyone really.

      • computer has to be ON 24/7
      • you can use ANY domain name IF you got static IP, else i'd recomend dyndns.com before no-ip.com

        much easier way is to downl0ad wampserver or xampp [ free sources available to download ]..... this not only allows u to host your site through ur pc but also u can create mysql ,table and more than your webhoster provides u ||but to do this perfectly u must have some prior knowledge of html/php n java scripting , if want more details u can jion some courses like php , java scripting .. it will help u in understanding it keenly ..
        yeah ive messed about with stuff like xampp before, was just interested in this as not noticed it before.
        only ever used it as a localhost and was just wondering about the drawbacks to using it.

        although though i now have 2 pc's atm, i still wouldnt like to keep 1 running 24/7 the amount of electric it would need
        would be immense lol.

          virtual servers are mean to do so friends but the work seems very much hectic!

          i cant keep my desktop running and

          what about the bandwidth?? i mean only your connection speed will be the speed for other user. am i correct?

            it is best to stick with a dedicated server as they are set up for it and have the resources obviously to do so.
            although the thought of running your own server on your pc is good, its not nessicarily the best choice.
            as there is much powerful systems out there that was made for this type of thing.

            and yeah you would need a "good" connection speed / unlimited bandwith or your network cost would be effected also big time.
