Question: Horizontal or Vertical menu?

The question is about a new AdminPanel template which I am building for my own CMS (yes I have and it's closed source :p ),
and despite the general feedbacks from clients, I want your opinion also.

Which is more pretty and user friendly:
Horizontal menu on top of the page,
or vertical menu on the left side of the page?

it depends how many options you are including into admin panel and who is going to use it. search and take a look at other similar cms.
