I have not been around for more than a year and lavalair is still being modded by most? Why don't you guys just code your own script from scratch???

Remember this. If you code your own script your security all in all does not need to be that good since no one knows your file names and or database tables.

I am really really supprized that people are still using other peoples work. Thought by now that would have stopped.

People use because it has all things as they need at a community site even they get updates from here so who doesnt know much coding they use it also you know nobody have much time for start from scratch and then resolve security bugs even user are use to same script easy to undersatnd and how ever if if some one will start a new what he will put new ?people need same things if some one make own then other will say copy, clone etc might be good new script but at last you will still use same method instead few extra stuff eg themes etc

I get the gill but really. To me using my own scripts is so much safer than using scripts by other people.

I do not use any code that is not my own at the moment. There is still some of my sites that use the old chatzone script that I modded but I just porovide hosting for them. Not the script.
