Index?id=3 to .html convert

Master i'm using sea script for my site. When i surf on, it always show me index?id=(number). But i need to convert it to (.html) extension.
Someone told me that it's possible via .htaccess. Then i search some tutorial in google. I used some code in .htaccess but it shows me (500 internal error)

plz suggest me what should i do now. What code i should use in htaccess to convert index?id=(number) to .html ?

You can find the way in this forum easy, its shown many many times, but you must write that change in the whole script to work like it should which is not easy to do in that big script.
