im in the process of working on my own version of flat file chat
that will be designed more or less the same as mobile-chat with the tools etc,
but fully rewritten and not under the COPYRIGHT rules of mobile chat.

i dont like the fact the copyright of this says no modded versions.

so decided to make my own personal coded version using functions and what not.
who know maybe one day ill release that instead and fully stop this script.

mine will be way better in the long run anyhow trust me on that.

less files,
less code,
around 80-90% of php in functions.
less database (.txt) files.
totally rewritten tools (designed/based on the original mobile-chat tools)
totally new folder setup.

may possibly lose some things like.

guestbook.
rss news feeds.
alert to all rooms of new signed members.

as im totally starting my script from scratch im totally doing it how i want it and not
how wappy visionized.
(then again the design of mobile-chat since wappychat1.20i was mine anyhow lol)

im still starting again. i want a script that is 99%-100% easy as pie to mod.
with any luck mostly all pages will just be mostly html with php function calls inside.

Sometimes I wish people would just READ the installation files and not try to think that they think its not there.
Specially on a script like this that even a mentally handicapped person can clearly follow the instructions on doing it and you don't need any php knowledge using it coz u don't need to change any php in it to work it...

Your speech is insulting , I even not a science background student what I learn about Domain DNS management ,php, html, wml, coding, hosting everything by myself with the help of Google not a single speech I didn't get from any teacher because I never had a teacher who can teach me.

Hi, Thanks for your reply...I have also DL your xhtml version,but I prefer more wml version since my plan for more older phone. I got a problem , I couldn't find admin password where it is?
Also I don't know anything about php so it is hard for for me customize everything.
I have a plan for my simple wap chat site. I have pm you please check and reply.

1. Upload all files apart from the (DOCUMENTS) folder

2. CHMOD all .txt files inside the text folder to 777 (0777)

3. CHMOD members folder to 777 (0777)

4. (DO NOT DELETE THE .txt FILE FROM INSIDE MEMBERS FOLDER)
(this file fixes an error that would appear when clicking on a * with no username attached.)

5. Add your name to the ownernames.txt file
(replacing the name ghost)

6. change config.php to your sites needs
(located in config folder)

7. REMEMBER to upload the .htacces file that comes with the script.
(it creates protection for your .txt files and other things.)

basically to add yourself as admin (follow step 5 >) Add your name to the ownernames.txt file
then register that name to site using register link. and youll be owner.
then when logged in to site you can make anyone you like owner, admin, mod, by
typing such things as

makeowner/username
makeadmin/username
makemod/username

takeowner/username
takeadmin/username
takemod/username

example makemod/ghost etc

each staff member gets their own set of staff tools then.

there really wont be much support for this.

however, there is a newer version in xhtml which uses sessions and is alot more secure.
plus youll be able to modify this version alot more and easier than the wml.

thanks gonna give it the once over quickly. then ill let it out of the bag. then on other releases ill look into improvements throughout the code etc, to squash anything i may of missed etc.

Yes, wappy disappeared.. dont know where.. kevin was nice guy. haha took lil money of mine but then also i purposely gave him knowingly what i did.

really miss him

lol wappy's name was chris. but yeah he wasnt that bad a person lol. gave me free hosting,
made me staff on codemafia when it was around. etc. this script has had so many updates now.
by me, its hard to see wappychat in it anymore lol. i just remember finding the hacked version of
wappychat 1.20i and thinking. hey this is a pretty cool script. i could do so much with this lol.
so i did. cant believe its taken this much time for me to look into this about reg global issue though.
had alot on in last 3 years. but hey least (with any luck) this wont be an issue ill need to revisit again.
