Need help for Managing Dedicated Server

    Hi Frends,

i'm into a problem today & as usual its the only place to post about it after my facebook status update.

i had a VPS from FDC & was quite fine upto last 3 weeks, then all of a sudden my sites were going down and i have to keep opening tickets for rebooting my server.
Staff told me that my server is running short on Swap Memory (which i dont understand what is it ?)
they told me to upgarde my server with high RAM & this would resolve my issue, so i did & got a Dedicated server.

Now here the problem is i dont know how to set it up & copy my data from my old server & get my sites on new server working.

Its been 3 weeks all my sites are down & income is affected like hell.
can anyone do it for me or teach me i'm ready to learn.
I have been through many tutorials but all are quite tricky to understand.

Can anyone tell should i stay on dedicated as my users are high & keep growing every month or should i pay extra & just upgarde my old VPS with high RAM & continue with that itself ??

    My Old Server :
    Server #1: Dual core ATOM
    Denver $ 0.00
    CentOS $ 0.00
    2GB $ 0.00
    500GB HDD $ 0.00
    None $ 0.00
    None $ 0.00
    32-bit $ 0.00
    100Mbps unmetered
My New Dedicated Server : Server #2: Dual core ATOM
    Denver, USA $ 0.00
    CentOS $ 0.00
    4GB $ 0.00
    1.5TB HDD $ 0.00
    None $ 0.00
    None $ 0.00
    32-bit $ 0.00
    100Mbps unmetered

Thanks in advance to all who would be replying for me & support & help is expected.
it creating mess in my life & affecting my usersbase heavly

pfft.. why pay extortionate fees just for inputting some basic simple commands to a dedi server, especially when it's easy to do by yourself

look at this forum for info on server management System Administration Forums

Stay on the dedicated server ,but mostly make sure you have secured it very well cos your server can be exploited to work for an anonymous script which will also eat your ram.you can google all the tutorials you need.
