why should someone use such a heavy framework as bootstrap for a simple mobile site? basic mobile design things like buttons etc, can be made with a few kb small css style.

but one can use purecss its light weight got some usefull code for mobile sites also like forms / buttons / grids which can be use single also just one small file for forms
it has nice look modern yet simple small and also no jqueries

bootstrap is for desktop large websites with heavy scripting for small wap sites i would say pure + own css is cool

GumSlone, because this "design" (if you can call it like so), is for button phones. i, personally, use multiple devices, iphone, ipad and PC to surf internets. bootstrap (responsive), can combine all 3 of them in one (!!) design. its not like those 10 years ago, where you paid you traffic for megabytes, i believe, every country now pays for unlimited bandwidth, so thats no excuse to put maximal lightweight designs.

+ why to put extra effort in creating more "designs" for PC or whatever, if you can combine them all in one responsive thing.

depends on your intention, what kind of site are you designing,
if you develop a website for desktop devices you can use bootstrap,
but if you create a site only for mobiles phones there is no point of using it,
bootstrap is only useful for designing a website which can be previewed in a mobile phone, but it is very heavy (because of its size), because your mobile phone has to load all the content which was intended to be shown on desktop devices,
responsive design can be made easily with css only, so you can access your site with a tablet and a old symbian phone,
if you design a mobile site there is no point to charge it with heavy js libs like bootstrap.
